Our Commitment

Farming for Today.
Protecting Tomorrow.

Why It Matters

We Farm with the
Next Generation
in Mind.

Sustainability is not a marketing position for us — it is an operational imperative. The land we farm today must be more productive, more resilient, and more biodiverse when we hand it to the next generation than it was when we received it.

That conviction shapes every decision we make: how we prepare our soil, how we manage water, how we protect biodiversity, and how we account for our carbon footprint. Our 2040 net-zero roadmap is not an aspiration — it is a plan, with milestones, metrics, and annual public reporting.

Feeding the Land That Feeds Us

Soil Health

Healthy soil is the foundation of sustainable agriculture. Our soil health program focuses on building organic matter, improving microbial diversity, and reducing erosion through cover cropping, reduced tillage, and precision nutrient management. We measure soil health annually across all our estates and track improvement over time.

Every Drop Counts

Water Stewardship

Water scarcity is one of agriculture's defining challenges. Since 2011, we have invested heavily in precision irrigation technology — soil moisture sensors, weather-integrated scheduling, and drip systems — to deliver water only where and when it is needed. Our water use efficiency has improved dramatically, and we continue to push further.

Farming in Harmony with Nature

Biodiversity

Productive farms and thriving ecosystems are not in conflict — they depend on each other. We maintain wildlife corridors, hedgerows, and wildflower margins across our estates to support pollinators, beneficial insects, and native species. Our integrated pest management program reduces reliance on broad-spectrum pesticides that harm non-target organisms.

Our Path to Net Zero

Carbon & Climate

In 2020, we published our zero-net-carbon roadmap — a commitment to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our operations by 2040. Our approach combines on-farm carbon sequestration through soil organic matter and agroforestry, renewable energy adoption, and supply chain emissions reduction. We report our progress annually.

Our 2040 Roadmap

Six Commitments.
One Future.

Renewable Energy

Transitioning all estate facilities to 100% renewable electricity by 2030, with on-site solar generation already operational at three sites.

Regenerative Practices

Expanding cover cropping, reduced tillage, and agroforestry programs to rebuild soil carbon and improve long-term land productivity.

Water Recycling

Installing closed-loop water recycling systems at all processing and storage facilities to eliminate freshwater discharge by 2028.

Community Investment

Partnering with local communities through employment, training programs, and infrastructure investment — because sustainable farming includes the people around it.

Agroforestry

Planting 50,000 trees across our estates by 2030 to sequester carbon, reduce erosion, and create habitat corridors between natural areas.

Emissions Reporting

Publishing annual Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions data aligned with the GHG Protocol — full transparency on our progress toward net zero.
